I want

Open letter to our mayor...

I want a subway, or c-train or LRT. Something that will make getting from A to C easier.
I don't like buses, plus all the cool cities have rapid transit in place, why cant we???

Even though I drive to work, if I had an option like taking the subway, I might consider it.

So Mr Mayor stop talking about rapid buses and start talking trains... thx

Im crazy

SO this weekend I did a crazy thing..... I picked up a stranger!
I know not a good idea with all the crazy things out there, but I couldn't resist.

I looked into her big brown eyes, stroked her golden coat and fell in love... I brought home a dog, well actually a puppy. I'm totally blaming my Mom for this.

I wasn't really ready to welcome a new family member, and I'm starting to think I bit off more then I can chew..

At some point I was going to get a DOG, not a puppy. I have never trained a puppy before and its kinda scaring me.

Also I was going to get a medium sized dog, the puppy I brought home is going to be a big dog. She is a Akita/Shepard mix.. oh boy.

so far the potty training is going O.K, at least I think so. I go out for a smoke once an hour and bring her with me. For the most part she has been going outside.

Sunday Willow, my new puppy, and I had a disagreement about her bone. I tried to take it away, she growled at me, and she bit a chunk out of my hand... OUCH.....

Now all I can think is that my puppy, almost took my hand, what is she going to do when shes full-grown.

Since shes a puppy she is chewing on everything, and I'm afraid for my cats. What will happen if she ever catches on of them?????

I'm hoping that we can work out these issues. If not I will take her back. I have 20 more days to decide if she fits.....

Does anyone have any tips or advice for me????

My week in review

I have had an interesting week, we re-elected Harper as a P.M... Grrrrr, but its another minority government!!!!

I think I caught my new manager at work stealing. I'm hoping this will finally get her fired.

I tested a new car. I really and I mean really liked it, but then I came home crunched some numbers and realized I just cant do it. Sorry princess your still going to have to listen to me whine about wanting a new car.

Finally had my Thanksgiving dinner!!!!! We deep fried the turkey... I know weird right??? But it was actually the juiciest turkey I have ever had, and it didn't taste deep fried. Normally its really dry. I got to meet my Aunts new beau...

Today I'm being a very very lazy girl. I woke up at 10am, took a nap at 1pm, and now I'm surfing on the web, while ignoring my dirty dishes...

Lets hoe next week is more exciting

I voted!

Today is a big day in Canada.... it is election day!!!!!
Now I have not voted in 10 years because I'm lazy and I was disillusioned with politics.
This year I felt compelled to vote because I'm hoping my vote counts... I don't want to see Harper be re-elected. If he is re-elected I'm hoping its with a minority government!

Now when I went to the School to vote I didn't know who to vote for. I wasn't voting P.C cause that's Harper. Not voting Liberal cause well I'm not, so that left NDP, Green, Communist, ( I was surprised to see that as an option) or Independent.

I'm keeping my fingers, toes, legs and arms crossed that tonight we will have a NEW Prime Minister, who's not Harper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, my friendly peeps, how is everyone?

A few months ago, the Princess was so kind as to lend me the first 3 seasons of the show 'Lost' I was hooked after the first episode. I would lay awake at night thinking about the island, the people, and how they had everything they needed! It also got me to thinking how would I feel if I were stuck on an island

After a short deliberation I think I would be quite content being stuck on the island. I would have some conditions though. There would have to be people, and by people I mean hot boys that I could have wild monkey sex with....
There would have to be food and fresh water. Notice how my first condition was wild monkey sex? Hmmmm I guess right now I find sex more important then food..

I would not want any hostile natives on my paradise Island. Not looking for a war, I have enough here.

I think it would be cool to just disappear, start new. No longer have the pressures of a modern society.
I'm sure it will be rough and primitive, but it will be simple, and honest.

Never to hear a phone ring, receive a bill in the mail. my idea of utopia.

Hopefully if I ever do get 'Lost' it doesn't turn into "lord of the flies"

My dirty little secret

Now that I have your attention, I will share my dirty, filthy, gross secret.....
Are you ready?????
I am a smoker.... Yeah I know smoking kills, blah blah blah. Your not the first to give me this news flash, nor will you be the last.

I'm not even sure how I started. I had my first drag when I was about 8. My first full cig, when I was 10. I became a full smoker when I was 14, I just moved from Calgary back to Winnipeg. My only friend at that time smoked so I guess I should too.

When I started school that fall I became friends with the Princess, who strongly dislikes smoking.
Not even her influence could get me to quit... I was the only smoker in the group..


Like all smokers, I hope one day to quit, and not cause its unhealthy. I want to quit so smoking doesn't rule my life.

I hope that in the future, when you meet a smoker, you don't judge. We all want to quit for the reasons you think we should, and all the other ones that you don't know about.
Don't tell us that smoking is bad, smelly gross cause duh we know this.
When we do decide to quit, support us, and don't ask how long its been. It just reminds us about smoking, and all the good times we had.

I am a server

I am a server at a family restaurant chain. For the most part I enjoy my job! I do have to say though I hate being asked.... 'is that all you want to do with your life, be a server'?

Obviously when I was younger I had other hopes and dreams, which so far has not happened. But to imply that all I am is a server is kinda rude.

Being a server is not as easy as it looks. You have to be able to multi-task like a demon getting new souls. You have to smile ALL DAY. Which might sound easy, but let me assure you it's hard. You can't be having a bad day, cause your guest don't come in to hear about how crappy your life is.

The hardest part of my job, is having to stand at a table, listening to a guest tells me how crappy their meal is, and still smile. When all I want to do is to tell the guest to F-Off....

The best part of my job is though... It doesn't come home with me. I don't sit on my couch streesin about my job. I punch out, go home and I'm done!!!!

The other best part is, I only work 5 hrs a day. 5 hrs people... I own my house, my car, and take a yearly trip by only working 5 hrs a day Monday to Friday...

I am bitter server from Canada! I'm not really that bitter, only on Wednesday's, well actually any day ending with 'day'... It's tough being in the service industry some day's. I will bore you with those details in a later post

I'm a single girl, in my early 30s, gawd I hate saying that.... Early 30s seems so wrong when I feel like I'm 20.
I love watching T.V, which almost pains me to admit.
I'm also a big fan of reading books.
